It's a simple premise, like one particular documentary film that came out a few years ago. For the next 30 days I plan on watching 30 documentary films made available to me by streaming through Netflix. If I get the opportunity to run out to the Esquire or Kenwood Theaters in the next month I like to catch a documentary in a theater, but that's not likely to happen. You'll know why in a few short sentences.
30 documentary films I've never seen, based off critical and cultural popularity, as well a recommendations from friends and colleagues.
After each film I will post my reflection, which should not be taken as a critical review, nor an endorsement or deterrent for seeing each film.
Another important detail of the post for each film: I am only allowed to type for 30 minutes. When time's up, I'm done typing. I'm a family man now and my wife and eight-month old son deserve the most attention and energy I can give them.
The films are posted in the order they are watched.
Feel free to damn me for it taking me this long to see some of these films.
Add comments, criticisms, recommendations.
The list is fluid and can be changed.
